Gabriel Cruz got into engineering at 15 out of necessity. Friends and family needed someone to record them, so he taught himself, studied under other engineers, booked sessions at studios across Northern California, and put in the hours until he could take on clients professionally. More than a decade later, he works as a full-time engineer, still driven by the same purpose: helping artists turn the idea in their head into something real.
His sessions are focused and elevated, but still fun and free enough for artists to try anything. The work can range from custom production, vocal production, songwriting, and building a record from scratch to helping an artist execute a finished vision. In every case, Gabriel stays focused on getting the perfect take, gives direct and constructive guidance, and helps artists reach the sound they have actually been chasing.
R&B, hip-hop, and indie music are where he feels most at home, especially when he can perfect vocals or produce a song from the ground up with an artist. He is drawn to artists who believe in what they are making and want to see it through—not just for one song, but across a full body of work. For Gabriel, the deeper goal is artist development: helping build a career, not just a moment.
Gabriel also brings eight years of graphic design and creative direction experience to his work. That background helps him see beyond a single track and think about the larger world around an artist—the visual direction, the story, and how the music can reach people. For artists looking for a deeper collaboration, he is open to helping shape that world alongside the sound. Whatever the scope, every project receives the same care, honesty, passion, love, and respect he has brought to his work since day one.
